Dream Girl

Shoes

I wish I could shop in "Nine West" & "Tony Bianco" but my size 11 feet prove it impossible, instead I shop at Joanne Mercer, Zu, Wittner and my all time favourite Target.

Target was my childhood haven and so was the salvos, red cross and any "Op shop" I guess most people call them. Growing up, I couldn't afford to probably buy a dress from Target but the Vinnies down the road was my treasure chest.

So much has changed, I have grown, Vinnies now seems to a past memory, the prices are now ridiculous and apparently Vinnie's (or some other charity store) is self owned. Meaning, none of the money goes to charity.

You can find me in random high-priced boutiques (wishing I could afford it all) or on lennox (my apple laptop) browsing the web stores of luxury. My mother is now opening a store in paddington and tomorrow I am photographing the clothes for the website, pretty excited cause I get paid for it.

Love and pieces of hope.

Aicha.

enjoy life

tut's note today:

Invariably, Aicha, a sudden disappointment, a bit of "bad" news, or a flock of butterflies gathering in your stomach, are all omens that a fabulous adventure is fast approaching.

The Excitment

When a song comes on and it is so uplifting, it just makes you wanna dance :)

Lionel Richie - All Night Long

Will.I.Am - It's a New Day

Will Smith - Miami

Dj D Eze Rock - It Takes Two

I found another random song I used to listen to when I was little

Next To You - Mike Jones

"I'm waiting, anticipating, 'cause I gotta be next to you"

Message Friend

We all make mistakes, I did.

I think too rash sometimes, but that's just me and I do apologise for the effects it has.

So I'm starting to try and piece together a broken friendship via facebook messages.

Will be a struggle but I will try :)

"All in Good Will."

I hope she understands.

My First Love

This song, is for you

But you gave me the best mixtape I have
And even all the bad songs ain't so bad
I just wish there was so much more than that
About me and you

and these lyrics
even as tween as they are

Comfortable as I am
I need your reassurance
And comfortable as you are
You count the days

But if I wanted silence
I would whisper
And if I wanted loneliness
I'd choose to go
And if i liked rejection
I'd audition
And if I didn't love you
You would know

And why can't you just hold me
And how come it is so hard
And do you like to see me broken
And why do I still care
still care

You say you see the light now
At the end of this narrow hall
I wish it didn't matter
I wish I didn't give you all

Poor little misunderstood baby
No one likes a sad face
But I can't remember life without him
I think I did have good days
I think I did have good days

Bunny Ain't No Kind of Rider

I chose "Bunny Ain't No Kind of Rider" as a title for my blog entry because I absolutely adore

Russh Magazine,

it is my highlight of two months besides the catch ups with my beautiful friends.

Page 95 of Russh has the most amazing photograph I have seen in the magazine, since Dual Kim's last photo shoot (may she rest in peace). The contrast between the stillness with her pose and on her face, being at peace with the chaos around and the yellow paint that crashes into her elegant pose, is just amazing.

I keep wondering how it was done, the bottom of the paint splash seems to be done with her posing but the paint hitting her head, I think that was photoshopped in. Anyways I love it!

I adored Danielle Top's feature article, born in Queensland herself, I feel we could have a deep connection, (I wish) Her article just speaks so much truth about growing up and I really connected with it (well not the alcoholism and drug use) but the loathing of insinuations of any kind, is within my realm of reality.

Maybe one day I could travel being a model and have reckless nights but I think I'll skip out on the making-out with Kate Moss, not my style.

The Stealth Wealth article (by Jess Blanch, Page 52), made so much sense. Basically

"The Less-is-more approach to luxury"

So true, just a touch of wealth not flaunted makes it even more luxurious. The satisfaction you get, when someone notices a single item of clothing you bought from YSL, that hasn't got the label written ridiculously all over it, makes the item even more prestigious. The opening to Blanch's feature article is capturing, and the image on the left helps create the image of the person she describes to the reader.

Absolutely divine, love it.

The high heels from Balenciaga's new range (Page 40), makes me envious of the foot sitting in it. Although it terribly reminds me of that dsgusting YSL shoe, I once saw Agyness Dayne wearing a couple of years ago, it's just more simplistic. Make's me think

-Industrial Stomping-

Don't know why.

Page 41 holds the most beautiful LV cape, it's the ultimate winter statement piece, ah I just couldn't ignore it when I saw it!

The "Trend Report" states Tweed is back, makes me think all those tweed pieces hanging in my closet, may come to good use! My favourite "Trend Report" write up, is

"Stitched up"

The reference to the Stella McCartney range will give you a giggle, as the model is smiling. Something you most definitely don't see on most cat walks. (Worth the read)

Last Note: So happy to see more curvy women on the cat walk and the pastel power, I LOVE PASTELS.

Anger Issues

People who get angry all the time
need to be kept on the ground or in some sort of container
where they can't be heard

I imagined it as a small box with rainbows on it and
tied up with a bow tie
and then no one has to listen to their pathetic insecurities of life :)

Something's gotta give

Say you Say me

I love you

the end.

Not Replying?

Those people who don't reply to questions, messages, calls and texts?

How do you live?

I always have to answer questions, the idea of leaving someone hanging never really empowers me because it's a waste of energy, knowing you posses this secret of knowing the answer and the world doesn't.

I can't say I haven't never ever not answered a question but it only wasn't answered for two days max? Maybe it's karma from that but people should just spread the word of humble truth not the brutal kind, I think we deserve a bit of fantasy and fiction in our lives.

Watching 30 Rock and I love it, my humour probably stems from this show, scrubs, flight of the concords and my grandmother :)

Begin

Watching Sex and the City 2 tonight, really made me realise how much I love fashion and the arts. More to it, the fact that one person can write an article in vogue or girlfriend and touch one person's life.

So, I decided to carry on the dream of writing some day for some magazine or online blog.

First off, I'm gonna start from the present.

Right now, I'm listening to Asleep in the Back by Elbow, it's from a fanmix on livejournal that Leyla Gashe the great hooked me onto :) So happy we are hanging out now, I love her positivity and creativity her view on Sandy Cohen's eyebrows amaze me.

I would make this longer but the bathroom light is still on and my face is un-moisturised. I better attend to that.

Night.

old memories

Like a flickering light it seems each time we speak.

I think I avoid talking to people sometimes, just so memories don't hang in my mind, the ones I am probably only thinking.

I miss photography.
I'm going to start again.

"Patiently you waited for a courting boy's embrace,
then everyone would know.
But the letter jacket wasn't yours to own
and it proves to be on temporary loan."

Hmm

When it comes to friends,

I love these ones

B
S
B
C
Z
V
L
C
J
K

why?

I could call anyone at a ridiculous hour and talk about nothing.
Meet up and not have to say a word, cause it's just fun.
They listen, I listen back.
Welcoming voices and welcoming hugs.
Nothing in return.
No selfishness.
Just selflessness.
Proud to know them.
Proud to speak to them.
Humbled by them.
Included and brighter in their shadow/light.
Supported.
Loved.
That's why.

That's about it.

But of course I love the valid facebook talkers & old School chums I wink at occasionally :)
